The Road to Justice – an E+R Project Court Process Book

The Road to Justice

A resource guide + journal to navigate the court process

Every court process, case, and experience is different. Everyone processes, grieves, and heals differently. The Placer DA’s Empower + Resilience Project recognized this truth and created The Road to Justice to help victims and families feel a little less alone while navigating the criminal court process.

This resource guide is designed to provide court-related information victims can review at their own pace, including a glossary of terms, questions and prompts for court hearings, and journal pages for notes and reflection. Survivors from the E+R Project also contributed quotes, personal tips, and things they wish they had known during their court proceedings.
