The Placer Multi-Disciplinary Interview Center (MDIC) exists to protect children who are victims of abuse by providing a safe, child-focused environment for forensic interviews and coordinated investigations.
When a child discloses abuse, the way the system responds matters. MDIC ensures that children are heard once — in a professional, trauma-informed setting — rather than being repeatedly questioned by multiple agencies.
This coordinated response protects both the integrity of the investigation and the emotional well-being of the child.
Placer MDIC:
The center ensures that children are treated with dignity, compassion, and care throughout the investigative process.
Public funding supports prosecution and investigative mandates — but it does not fully cover the enhanced, child-focused environment and expanded services that MDIC provides.
