(Em)power + Resilience Project

The (Em)Power + Resilience Project is a prevention-focused initiative designed to educate and empower youth to recognize manipulation, exploitation, and unsafe relationships before they become victims.

Through early intervention, education, and community engagement, the E+R Project works to strengthen young people’s confidence, awareness, and resilience — equipping them with the tools to protect themselves and others.

The Challenge

Youth today face increasing exposure to online predators, trafficking tactics, peer pressure, coercion, and unhealthy relationship dynamics. Social media and digital platforms have expanded opportunities for exploitation, making prevention education more critical than ever.

While the District Attorney’s Office works to prosecute offenders and hold perpetrators accountable, prevention and community education efforts require philanthropic support to expand their reach and effectiveness.

Without proactive education, many young people may not recognize warning signs until it is too late.

How the (Em)Power + Resilience Project Helps

The E+R Project:

  • Provides age-appropriate prevention education to students
  • Teaches youth how to recognize grooming behaviors and exploitation tactics
  • Promotes healthy relationship awareness
  • Encourages safe online engagement and digital responsibility
  • Builds confidence and resilience skills
  • Engages parents, educators, and community partners

This program focuses on prevention — stopping exploitation before it begins.

Why Donations Are Critical

  • Educational curriculum materials
  • School and community presentations
  • Youth outreach initiatives
  • Prevention workshops and training
  • Resource development for families and educators
