SUMMARY:Richard's Run
DESCRIPTION:We joined survivor Rachel to honor her brother Richard by launching 𝘙𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘥’𝘴 𝘙𝘶𝘯 – 𝘙𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘯𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘯.\n\n\nRichard was a victim of domestic violence homicide at two years old. Rachel’s mission through Richard’s Run is to bring awareness to domestic violence homicide\, provide others a platform to remember and educate on behalf of their loved ones\, and honor traumas endured.\n\n\n\nRichard’s Run can mean something different for each participant\, but the mission is the same – together we can create something impactful out of our grief and shared experiences. SUMMARY:2024 Victim + Survivor Brunch
DESCRIPTION:Over 300 community partners\, victims and residents joined us for our foundation launch at our annual Victim + Survior Brunch. Hosted by our Foundation\, the District Attorney’s Office and the office’s (Em)Power + Resilience Project. The event was designed to honor the lives lost and traumas endured by victims and survivors in Placer County.\n\nHeld at the Blue Goose in Loomis and catered by Newcastle Gardens catering\, the sold-out event was a full house of victims and survivors\, law enforcement\, officials\, community organizations and more. The event included a kick-off with Placer County District Attorney Morgan Gire\, a victim tribute video\, a keynote speech from Christie Wilson’s mom\, Debbie Boyd\, and a closing presentation from the new Placer Justice Foundation Chair\, Victor Pecoraro.\n\nStay tuned for our 2025 event!
